Launched in 2024 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Cypress Ministries is in the process of developing and executing plans to establish our rest, retreat, and restoration ministries. Looking ahead, we anticipate a three-year timeline to become fully operational.
Deep Woods Immersion
2025
- Continue to operate Deep Woods Immersion through the ministry of Mount Vernon Community Bible Church.
- Pilot a Deep Woods Immersion weekend exclusively for women.
2026
- Pursue opportunities to expand Deep Woods Immersion beyond Community Bible Church.
- Publish the Deep Woods Immersion Field Manual.
2027
- Continue to offer Deep Woods Immersion to Community Bible Church and other organizations.
- Establish Deep Woods Immersion at its permanent home, Cypress Hollow Iowa.
Cypress Hollow Iowa
2025
- Launch a capital campaign to raise funds to acquire the Cypress Hollow property.
- Acquire a large property suitable for development into Cypress Hollow Iowa.
2026
- Launch a capital campaign for development of the Cypress Hollow property.
- Begin to develop the property and prepare it for ministry use.
2027
- Launch a capital campaign to raise funds to make Cypress Hollow fully operational.
- Launch the full suite of ministries.
